Having traveled to 49 of the 50 states and more than 60 countries on every continent expect Australia, R.C. Staab frequently writes about his adventures from exploring major museums in Europe, swimming with orcas in Norway and climbing to the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan. He has worked on and off in the tourism and film industries and is long time member of the Society of American Travel Writers.

His latest book, New York City Scavenger:  The Ultimate Search for New York City's Hidden Treasures, was released by Reedy Press in April 2022. From the same publisher, his book 100 Things to Do at the Jersey Shore Before You Die was published in 2020 and is now in its second printing.

He frequently contributes to New Jersey Monthly covering the Jersey Shore from Sandy Hook to Cape May.  In 2021, he walked the 139 miles of the Jersey Shore coastline and wrote about each town or beach along the way.
